Project 2- Destroy the Icon- my iconic image
Here is my icon :) Darth Vader is an icon to me, because I feel like anyone could recognize his famous breathing and his helmet shape. I chose this particular photo because it is from the legendary "No, I am your father" scene that I feel like almost everyone knows or has at least heard a reference to before. I've known almost my whole life who Darth Vader was, and that he was Luke's father, before I had even watched a single Star Wars movie.
lovely beginning of textures here- the orange is really fun too. I feel like there needs to be more going on here though; maybe try adding more images/layers?
ReplyDeleteI think this first iteration is really interesting! I think you definitely have some nice textures going on and I look forward to seeing how you begin to integrate the chickens and further develop your idea.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the orange-y hues peeking out in this image, and can definitely make some inferences as to how you are approaching the concept of the 'cyclical nature of things.' I'm excited for how you might incorporate your other visuals into this.

I like where you're headed with this; I agree that there needs to be more happening, and I think if you were to add something that's a little unexpected, this could help your image more!
ReplyDeleteKara, loving all of the textures! it amazes me how texture can be captured digitally. the orange is lovely, adding some contrasting blue tones somewhere would be a really nice way to emphasize color in places and make specific points pop. Excited to see where this one takes you!
